Mild Steel Tube

低碳钢管4

Mild steel tube are manufactured from mild steel with a carbon content ≤0.25%. Based on forming processes, they are categorized into seamless pipes (produced by piercing steel billets followed by rolling) and welded pipes (fabricated by welding coiled low-carbon steel sheets).

Their core characteristics include excellent plasticity, ease of processing (facilitating welding, bending, and cutting), high toughness, superior low-temperature impact resistance, and relatively low cost. However, they possess moderate strength and average corrosion resistance, necessitating protective treatments like galvanizing or painting based on application requirements.

Widely used in scenarios such as building steel structure supports, fundamental components in machinery manufacturing, low-pressure fluid conveyance pipelines (e.g., water supply/drainage, compressed air lines), and furniture frames, it serves as a common tubing material in industrial and civil applications where both workability and cost-effectiveness are prioritized.

Mild Steel Tube Production Line

Mild steel tube production lines are categorized into two types based on forming processes. Seamless pipe production lines use mild steel billets as raw material. After heating in a furnace (1100-1250°C), the billets are rolled into hollow rough tubes by a piercing machine. The tubes then undergo precision rolling to adjust dimensions, followed by cooling, straightening, and non-destructive testing. Welded pipe production lines utilize mild steel coil as raw material. After uncoiling and leveling, the material is formed into a tube shape by a forming machine. It undergoes high-frequency welding or submerged arc welding, followed by weld bead removal. The pipe is then sized, straightened, and cut to length. Finished products from both production lines require quality inspection, with some undergoing additional anti-corrosion treatment. These pipes are suitable for fluid transportation, structural support, and other applications.

About Packing Details

1.Pipe Bundling: Low-carbon steel pipes of the same size are neatly bundled together. Use multiple high-tensile steel straps to secure the bundle, preventing it from coming apart during transport. Plastic or wooden spacers can be placed where the straps touch the pipes to prevent surface damage.

2.End Protection: The ends of the pipe bundle are sealed with plastic caps or iron rings to protect the pipe openings and prevent water ingress.

3.Moisture and Rust Prevention: The entire pipe bundle is tightly wrapped in waterproof kraft paper or plastic woven fabric. Desiccants can be placed inside the wrapping if necessary to prevent moisture and corrosion.

4.Outer Reinforcement and Marking: After the outer wrapping is complete, the bundle is reinforced with additional steel straps. A clear shipping mark is affixed to the package, indicating product specifications, quantity, and batch information.

5.Container Loading or Palletizing: The strapped pipe bundles can be loaded bare into containers or placed on sturdy wooden or steel pallets for easy forklift handling.
