Hot-rolled steel plates are flat steel products made by rolling steel billets at high temperatures (usually 1100-1250℃) through rolling mills.

Their production utilizes the high-temperature plasticity of steel billets, controlling the thickness through multi-pass rolling, followed by processing such as cooling and straightening after rolling. The surface of the finished products may have scale.

They feature high strength, moderate toughness, and relatively low cost. Widely used in fields such as building steel structures, automobile manufacturing, mechanical processing, and shipbuilding, they are one of the basic steel materials with large consumption and wide applications in industry.

Hot Rolled Steel Plate Production Line

The hot-rolled steel plate production line uses steel billets as raw materials and operates entirely at high temperatures: Steel billets are heated in a furnace to 1100-1250℃, giving them good plasticity. They then enter the roughing mill, where they are widened and significantly thinned through reversible rolling, achieving preliminary forming. Next, they enter the finishing mill group, where the thickness is precisely controlled through multi-pass continuous rolling (as thin as 1.2mm and as thick as over 200mm). Immediately after rolling, they are rapidly cooled via a laminar cooling system (with the cooling rate controlled according to the steel grade). Finally, the plate surface is flattened by a leveler, followed by fixed-length shearing (or coiling into rolls). After inspections for dimensional accuracy and mechanical properties, they become finished hot-rolled steel plates.

The production line is compatible with various thickness specifications, and its products are widely used in fields such as construction and machinery.

About Packing Details

1.Stacking and Padding: Neatly stack steel plates of the same size. Place wooden or rubber spacers between each layer to prevent friction damage.

2.Outer Wrapping: The stacked plates are tightly wrapped with waterproof kraft paper, plastic woven fabric, or steel sheets to protect them from moisture and physical damage.

3.Multi-directional Strapping: Use multiple high-tensile steel straps in both horizontal and vertical directions to ensure the stack of plates does not fall apart during transport. Edge protectors can be placed where the straps contact the plates to protect the edges.

4.Placement on Pallets: Place the strapped stack of plates on a sturdy wooden or steel pallet. The pallet provides support and facilitates forklift handling.

5.Marking and Final Inspection: Affix a clear shipping mark to the exterior of the package, indicating product specifications, quantity, and batch information. A final inspection is conducted to ensure the packaging is complete and undamaged.
