Galvalume steel coils are steel coils fabricated by plating an alloy layer containing 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon on the surface of steel strips.
The coating combines the oxidation resistance of aluminum and the sacrificial anode protection property of zinc, boasting a corrosion resistance 2-6 times that of ordinary galvanized steel. It also features excellent heat resistance (capable of withstanding high temperatures up to 300°C).

The production process is as follows: After uncoiling and welding of the steel strip, impurities are first removed through degreasing and pickling; then the surface is reduced in an annealing furnace; subsequently, it is immersed in a molten aluminum-zinc alloy bath at approximately 600°C to form the coating; the coating thickness is controlled by an air knife; followed by cooling, passivation, and oiling; finally, it is finished and coiled.

Galvalume Steel Coils are widely used in scenarios with high weather resistance requirements such as construction and home appliances.

Galvalume Steel Coils Production Line

The galvalume steel coils production line is a continuous processing equipment, with core procedures as follows: The uncoiler unwinds the steel strip and welds it into a continuous strip; surface oil stains and oxide scales are removed through degreasing and pickling; the strip enters an annealing furnace for heating and reduction to improve its performance; then it is immersed in an aluminum-zinc alloy molten pool at around 600°C, where a coating is formed on the surface; the coating thickness is controlled by air knife blowing; subsequent treatments include cooling, passivation and oiling; finally, the coiler winds it into a steel coil. The entire process is automatically controlled to ensure uniform coating and stable product quality.

About Packing Details

1.Core Preparation & Inner Wrapping: A high-strength core is placed at the center of the coil. The coil is then wrapped with multiple layers of waterproof paper, VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) anti-rust paper, and plastic film to create a sealed environment that prevents moisture and rust.

2.Outer Protection Layer Installation: The entire coil is fully enclosed with galvanized steel sheets or pre-painted steel sheets to form a hard, protective shell. Circular steel plates are installed on both ends of the coil for edge protection.

3.Multi-directional Strapping: High-tensile steel straps are used for multiple bands. Both circumferential and radial straps are applied to ensure the coil remains secure in all directions. Edge protectors are placed under the straps to prevent damage.

4.Pallet Securing & Marking: The packaged coil is placed on a wooden or steel pallet. It is then firmly secured to the pallet with steel straps, and a shipping mark with product information is affixed or printed on the package.
